Firearm Transfers
We charge $40.00 (Starting 3/1/24) for a single transfer, includes all Department of Justice Fee’s. Any additional firearms on the original 4473 are charged at $25.00 per firearm. We accept Cash, Zelle (916-240-4777) Cash App, and Venmo. The Venmo payment code is located at the bottom of this page.
But someone else charges, $35 for a transfer. Yes, that is the case and Shooters World charges $60 and in California they charge $130+. When your firearm comes here, you get PRIORITY SERVICE, no waiting 5 deep to fill out a form. When you come here you come here with an (Appointment), 99% same day and you get 1 on 1 service, so you can move on with your day and not be delayed. If you want to sit in a gun shop and wait 1 hour to get your turn filling out paperwork, then every other place local is your best option. My hours are in many instances, after 8 PM for pickups, while local shops are closed by 6 PM. If you want to save on transfer fee’s let me order something for you and your fee’s will be $5.00. In most instances I save you more $$$ than purchasing from other online vendors.
Gun Broker Purchases and from other vendors: In many instances, we DO NOT receive any tracking information for your order, despite you receiving it we quite often don’t see this. We ask that you please furnish us a copy of this information. Please email this to: chiefmichael@mac.com Please indicate your name in the header and FFL Transfer, item arriving and dealer/distributor if you know.
What to bring with you for the transfer: Florida Drivers License or Florida State Issued ID or US Passport w/Car Registration with current address or title of property/tax information of a parcel of land/home you own. Out of state ID’s can only receive rifles or shotguns if its legal to own in their home state.
When I receive your firearm, I open the box immediately, inspect to ensure its intact, not loaded, not broken and I log it in my FFL if everything looks 100%. I typically text you a picture of the firearm if I have your cell number to let you know everything looks good. If there is a problem I will let you know, so in case it needs to be shipped back. Yes, it has happened a few times.
Florida requires a 3 day wait, unless you have a Florida Concealed Weapons Permit. However, if you purchased the firearm online, the 3 day wait starts the moment your credit card was processed for payment. So, if it took 5 days to get the firearm to me your 3 days are up! I need a bill of sale for this to happen, if not your firearm will sit here until after 3 days of you completing your 4473. No, I don’t want to see this happen, so send me a bill of sale from wherever you purchased this firearm (Gun broker, Palmetto State Armory, Classic Firearms, where-ever). This means as soon as your background clears the firearm goes home with you. This can happen in 5 seconds or a few hours, I’ve seen both. If you have a Florida Concealed Weapons Permit and Florida ID as soon as a 4473 background clears the same is true. The advantage of the permit is if you purchase a firearm directly from a dealer, it satisfies the 3 day wait period. Yes, everyone has to do a background check, no special circumstances for private purchases. Also, those with permits, do process faster than someone that doesn’t have one, I’ve seen that as recently as this month, Jan 2021. *3 day wait, doesn’t include (weekends).
If things are being delayed I can give you the Queue number and you can check it from the comfort of your home or car to see when it clears out. After that all you have to do is come back and sign the 4473 if its not the same day and sign my log book for your firearm. I take payment the moment you complete the 4473, not when you receive your firearm.
Question: Can we submit a 4473 prior to you receiving my firearm? No, I only wish we could
My desire is to see your purchase in your hands as soon as possible. If you cannot come for a few days or longer, no problem it will be secured.
All firearms will be legally transferred with background checks and in accordance with State and Federal Laws.
You must be at least 21 years old in the state of Florida with no felony’s. No exceptions are made to the law!
We do facilitate Private Transfers of firearms for $50.00. This means if you want to sell a firearm to someone and you don’t want to just give it to them and you want a background check completed we can assist with that process. Discounts will apply if selling more than 1 to the same party.
We are by appointment only! Please, contact us via text or email for fastest response times. 916-240-4777 (C) or michael@41-guns.com. Leaving me a voice message will likely mean you will be waiting for a while, unless I have your number already.
